Originally by: Mya ElleTerego Thanks for the love guys, ♥♥. Its been a fun year, this was my first try making an alliance. It started out with a forum thread that foundation was having massive internal troubles, and cult of war had started fighting them for GW. At the same time syndacite was stale and boring, and Onion was living in ostingele. Wed scrap with cry havoc, until they would bring in a real fleet and then we would ninja a kill or two and try not to get ran over. Wed brawl with clown punchers and controlled chaos but even against them sometimes wed have numbers issues as onion was a small corp. We had joined 2 alliances in 2 months and all of them turned out to be fail and we didnt care to carry an alliance that was lead by someone else, we wanted to be equals to the other pvp corps in an alliance.
So to make a long story short, we decided to make Spaceballs the alliance, but sadly someone had the name as a corp already, and I somehow missed it. Hardin was already in corp so we had like 3 hours to come up with a new alliance name, . So I asked someone to be in charge of checking if ideas were taken, and everyone else come up with what they want in an alliance name. 1. Had to be able to make hot chick avatars/sigs without it making no sense. 2. Absolutely no full stops or numbers in the name in place of letters. 3. Mya is not allowed to misspell the name.
So we decided on Gentlemen's Club. Im sure we could have had a better alliance name had we spent more than a few hours on it, but you get what you put in I guess.
We joined Cult of Wars side of the fight in GW after a few days of ganking anyone we could in GW, and allying with FRICK for a few days. Old brosefs from veritas from like 2004-2005 for me. Then we went from a 110 man pirate alliance over the next couple months to a 500 man npc 0.0 pvp alliance with a revolving door for carebear corps, cause most of them couldnt hack it or sought greener pastures with sov alliances.
Then dominion was announced, and I got outvoted and the guys decided it was time to make a plan for sov space. We had eyes on some of scalding pass, but the war was uncertain as I had a hell of a time getting standings straight, and when I finally did, Minor threat flip flopped to razor / goon side, and Cult of war had a falling out with atlas, and krautbreak disappeared.
A week goes by, wicked creek is cleared out I think this was the right order of events. Atlas, AAA, Init puts the pressure on minor threat for 2 weeks and they failcascade from internal issues. Noone really wanting scalding pass, but they also didnt want crappy neighbors, so I contacted atlas / aaa leadership and they said I could have a pocket after a good bit of grilling. Also I had to shoot like 30 ****stars and fight RA over it. Cult of war got the pocket they wanted in the first place. And I Couldnt afford to sov up 5 station systems so I offered up 1v- to primary.
From this point we had grown to like 800 dudes, and the climb to a respectable sov alliance has started, and keeps going. Its fun, its alot of work, and I dunno what the future holds. I do so miss our pirate non blob roots with onion sometimes.
If you actually read that brief history youll know who we are and a free cookiee to you, to anyone that didn't, TLDR GC was made to shoot stuff, not carebear, thats about it.
Special thanks to: Cult of war Atlas AAA Init Primary And all the ceos / members in the alliance for making it possible.
I'm not reading all of that.
